Nicola is passionate about providing dental care of the highest standard and brings a wealth of skill and experience to our team. Her interests include cosmetic dentistry, full-mouth care and dental implants, as well as sedation for those needing extra help to get through treatment.
Aside from her expertise in providing dental care, Nicola (known as Nikki to friends and clients) is renowned for her warm and friendly nature. Several of the DentalPlus team have worked with Nicola previously, and they are super-excited to have her joining us because of her kind nature and ability to communicate clearly and calmly with people from all walks of life.
Nicola qualified from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in 2001 and for the next 3 years continued her training at the Edinburgh Dental Institute. She successfully passed a series of examinations to become a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2003, before moving to Tauranga with husband Kent in 2004, where she has worked as a dentist ever since. Nicola continues to attend dental courses to ensure she is providing the best dental treatment and preventative techniques for her patients.
Nicola Is experienced and confident in all aspects of general dentistry. In 2006 she gained her certificate from the New Zealand Society for Anaesthesia and Sedation in Dentistry and routinely provides sedation for those patients who require it for their dental treatment.
When not at work Nicola enjoys spending time with her family and friends both here and in the UK. She has fully embraced the New Zealand lifestyle, enjoying mountain biking, adventure racing and skiing.
